Family Farms and Shops
If you enjoy fresh produce, you'll love the small family farms that abound on Whidbey Island. Check out Hastie Lake Farms. This multi-generational family farm features field fed poultry, fresh produce and fresh flowers. They also have a small selection of handcrafted soaps that are made by family members.
Anther wonderful family farm is 3 Sisters Cattle Company. 3 Sisters has features grass-fed cattle, which gives their beef an excellent flavor and is lower in fat that corn or grain fed beef. With a small butcher shop, you can purchase beef and other items from this family farm and have your selections shipped home.
Greenbank Farms is a local Whidbey Island institution. Initially the location of the world's largest loganberry farm, Greenbank Farms now is the home of a wine tasting room, a Pie Cafe and a Cheese and Specialty Shop. The wine tasting room features local Puget Sound and Whidbey Island wineries such as Holmes Harbor Cellars, Lost Mountain Winery, Whidbey Island Vineyard and Winery and Fair Winds Winery. The Pie Cafe features the celebrated artisan pies of Jan Gunn and the Cheese and Specialty Shop has products local to the Puget Sound area of Washington State.
